Rental prep

Stage it the way a guest finds it

Guests book with their eyes, so we photograph the stay, not just the rooms. Run this checklist before the shoot so every amenity you offer shows up in the photos.

Rentals we photographed after the hosts staged them check-in ready.

Stage it like check-in

  • Set every room exactly the way a guest finds it when they walk in
  • Every light on, ceiling fans off, blinds and curtains open
  • Cleaning supplies, host storage, and personal items out of sight
  • Trash and recycling emptied, bins hidden
  • Remotes, chargers, and cables tucked away

Bedrooms & baths

  • Beds hotel-tight: fresh matching linens, pillows fluffed, throw folded at the foot
  • Towels folded in sets on the bed, or stacked neatly in the linen closet with the door open
  • Toiletries and amenity kits arranged like a hotel
  • Toilet lids closed, shower glass spotless, bath mats straight
  • Closets tidy, empty hangers and luggage racks out

Kitchen & coffee station

  • Coffee station fully stocked and visible: pods or beans, mugs, sugar, creamer
  • Welcome basket, snacks, or a bottle of wine set out
  • Counters clear except the things guests love: coffee bar, fruit bowl, cookbook
  • Dishes put away, dishwasher closed, sink empty and dry
  • Magnets, notes, and house-rules sheets off the fridge

Screens & entertainment

  • If guests get Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+, open the app on the TV so the logo shows, and tell us which
  • Game room ready to play: pool balls racked, board games stacked, arcade on
  • Books, puzzles, and kids' toys arranged, not scattered
  • Speakers, consoles, and cords tidy
  • Wi-Fi card or welcome sign styled on a stand, not taped to a wall

Outdoor & amenities

  • Hot tub uncovered, water clear, lights on
  • Pool clean with the cover off, loungers aligned, cushions out
  • Grill cover off and wiped, fire pit set with seating around it
  • Outdoor table set with a few place settings
  • Hoses, pool toys, and trash out of frame; driveway clear of cars

Tell us what makes your stay special

  • Perks we should feature: EV charger, bikes, kayaks, beach gear, cribs and high chairs, pet amenities
  • Views and sunsets: tell us the best time of day and we'll plan the shoot around it
  • Seasonal setups: holiday decor, fall porch, summer beach gear, shot in season
  • Anything new since your last shoot

Why it matters

We photograph the experience, not the square footage

A stocked coffee bar, a racked pool table, and the Netflix logo on the TV answer the questions guests are asking before they book. If it's part of the stay, stage it and we'll feature it.

Tell us what to feature

Reply to your confirmation email, or text us before the shoot, with the perks that set your rental apart and the best time of day for your views. Extended usage rights are included, so everything we capture works across Airbnb, VRBO, your direct-booking site, and social.
