All cleaning and staging should be finished before the photographer arrives. Use this room-by-room checklist so your shoot runs smoothly and your home looks its best.
Whole house
- Turn ON every light, lamps, overheads, under-cabinet
- Turn OFF all ceiling fans (prevents motion blur)
- Open blinds and curtains for natural light
- Hide cords, chargers, and clutter
- Remove personal photos and valuables
Kitchen
- Clear all countertops
- Remove magnets, notes, and dishes
- Hide trash cans and dish towels
- Wipe down sinks and surfaces
Bathrooms
- Clear counters of toiletries
- Hide trash cans and laundry
- Fresh, matching towels neatly hung
- Close toilet lids
Bedrooms & living
- Make all beds and fluff pillows
- Tidy and stage each room
- Remove TV remotes and clutter
- Straighten furniture and rugs
Exterior
- Remove vehicles from driveway and front of home
- Move garbage bins out of sight
- Tidy yard, hoses, and toys
- Remove all pet items, beds, bowls, toys
